For 40 years the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University Stuttgart is an inherent part of the state capital’s landscape of higher education.
In cooperation with about 2,500 carefully selected companies and social institutions, the dual training partners, the Faculties of Business, Engineering and Social Work offer more than 40 nationally and internationally approved bachelor courses.
Their most important feature is that students regularly switch between theoretical phases at the university and practical phases at the dual training partners.
Students can apply the theoretical knowledge from lectures and seminars directly to practical tasks in the company and instantly strengthen this know-how. In addition to the applicability of what they have learnt, the development of other skills in the practice-oriented phases are of importance. Besides the bachelor degree programme the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University Stuttgart offers its own non-consecutive Master‘s programme to selected graduates. The offer is primarily aimed at alumni of the Cooperative State University Stuttgart who have by now gained at least one to two years of professional experience after their graduation. These Master‘s courses are offered as a career-integrated and job-attended study in close cooperation with the dual partners.
The dual studies are designed according to the current requirements of the job market and the companies or social institutions and guarantee a unique combination of theory and practice. Today, the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University Stuttgart, formerly called Berufsakademie Stuttgart, is a nationally and internationally approved and accredited university with an exceptionally high level of quality, which also shows in the large number of graduates, namely 80 per cent, who are taken on by their training companies after graduation. The Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University Stuttgart with its campus in Horb is the largest of eight locations of the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University.
